Address the occupational hazards of handloom weaving

Handloom weaving is the largest cottage industry in India, employing over 4.3 million people. However, weavers often suffer from several health conditions, resulting from bent backs due to low loom position, spatial constraints, muscle exertion, and repetitive movements. Respiratory diseases are common too thanks to the fibre dust from raw materials. Corrective measures such as implementation of ergonomic design into weaver workstations can improve their quality of life significantly — can you help?
